AN APPEAL TO ALL THOSE WILLING TO HELP

  The Association to Help Childer with Bileduct and Liver Diseases com into being in Cracow on 14 th March, 1991 (number KRS 0000124837). It is outside the government with the legal entity status.
  It take care of 272 serioulsy ill children from the whole Polad. Ten of them needs the liver transplant as the only chance to survive.
  Our children are in every age. Many of them have been ill since birth, others fell ill unexpectedly and the reasons are difficult to establish. All of them has had a long-lasting clinical treatment, surgeries, and a great unknown, at the begining of each day. In spite of illness, the children are intellectually developed, clever, gifted, and as much talented as healthy children. They have a great need of joy, laughter, and entertainment - the need of life.
  "LIVER" association cooperates with outstanding specialist from Belgium, Spain, France and Germany. Thanks to their help 63 chidren have been succesfully operated with the liver transplant - simply they were brought back to life, one hundred and ten were conservatively hospitalised, some of them have been classified to the family liver transplant in Paris and Brussels.
  However, the is a great deal more seriously ill children waiting for the rescue. There are other clinics in Europe which want to help our children. But o good deal of money is needed. One operation and a 3-month-long treatment ofter operation costs 60 to 150 thousand USD. It depends on clinic and how difficult is the surgery.
  In spite of our appeals to the people willing to help, we are constantly short of money. Our children can't wait for so long. Time means death for them.
  The activity of the "Liver" association is like a continuous race against time and death.
Between 1991 and 1997 Matylka, Monika, Sylwia, Jacus, Marta, Agatka, Jarek, Asia, Jasiu died. They died before the liver transplant.
  Do you know how difficult is to die when you are a teenager?!!!
  Yet, medicine can help. only money is needed.

Each payment is like a gift of life. Paying, you can rescue somebody's life.
Don't be indifferent to children. Help the suffering children and their parents in despair.

The Association gives their bank account for their disposal. Payments can be made in Polish and foreign currency.

Please, spread this request where possible, among friends, friendly companies and people here in Poland and abroad.
